ALL IT TAKES IS
ONE REVOLUTION
TO TURN HUNGER AROUND
You say you want a REVOLUTION - well, you know
We all want to change the world.
You tell me that it's evolution - well, you know
We all CAN feed the world.
But when you talk about CANSTRUCTION,
Don't you know that you CAN count us in!
Cajun Construction is proud to be a part of the 20th year Canstruction design / build competition presented by The Atlanta Food Bank.
Our unique architectural structure “Canstruction” will be designed and built entirely out of canned foods which will later be donated to the Atlanta Food Bank after the competition.
Cajun Construction is proud to support this initiative and our unique architecturally designed structure will be revealed on April 15th (it is top secret until then) and is going to start a "revolution" to end hunger. This colossal structure will be 7 feet long and 6 feet wide, reching an exciting 8' in height and will utilize approximately:
7,000 cans which will feed 28,000 Atlantians
I am sure you are saying to yourself -- WOW that's a lot of cans!
Yes -- We agree and there are several ways you CAN help!
We estimate $1.50 will allow us to purchase 1 canned food item.

THE ATLANTA COMMUNITY FOOD BANK

For the Atlanta Community Food Bank service area, the report shows that 80,600 people are served each week by programs supported through the Food Bank, and that those clients turn to the Food Bank partner programs and pantries for help more than 6.1 million times over the course of the year.
This means clients are visiting the Food Bank network programs an average of 8 times a year.
The Atlanta Food Bank has been a member of the Feeding America network since 1979.
Research shows that 1 in 7.5 people, or an estimated 755,400 people, in metro Atlanta and north Georgia turn to food pantries and meal service programs to feed themselves and their families each year. This includes more than 164,000 children and more than 64,000 seniors.
WAYS YOU CAN HELP
Cajun Construction’s massive structure will utilize approximately 7,000 cans of food and will feed 28,000 Atlantians. Each can costs approximately $1.50, and we have to use strategic materials to assist the stability of the CAN-structure, thus we need to raise $12,000 by March 15th, 2019.

DONATE CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS & LABOR
We are allowed to use 1/4" Plexiglass, 1/4" MDF as leveling boards, double-sided tape, twist ties, industrial wire, and industrial Velcro. Our structure is unique and we are doing something that has never been done and thus we need some people willing to cut specialty Plexiglass and wood for us. Please contact us if interested in helping.
